Hi! My name is Oscar La-Gambina and I present on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
I’m 16 and am currently studying for my A-Levels at John Kyrle Sixth Form, where I do French, German and History, hoping to take languages at university. My future ambition, however, is to become a radio presenter, which is why I joined Hereford Hospital Radio.
I began training on Monday nights with Pete Trigg, and he taught me all I needed to know and I was passed five months later. I then began presenting my Wednesday night show between 7-9 in the evening, while also presenting a Saturday afternoon show between 3 and 6, with my co-trainer at the time Seb Pontin.
I also help out at the outdoor broadcasts that the radio holds, mainly presenting the day’s events. In my spare time outside the radio, I write for a sports website as that is also a job I would like in the future.
I love volunteering at the station, as everyone is very friendly and we all have a good time.
