Ross-On-Wye Town Council have released a 10-year strategy, outlining the future of the town and how the council will respond to the needs of the local community.

The document, released on the 11th of August 2026, outlines the council's role, organisational structure, financial information, strategy, statements and ambitions.

The release includes community responses collected as part of the public consultation for the 2026-2027 budget which outline suggestions made by local residents alongside praise for improvements made within the last year.

The document includes the town council's mission statement, which says "Ross-on-Wye Town Council exists to safeguard our town, care for our community, and act with fairness and integrity in everything we do. We prioritise clean and green spaces, celebrate our heritage and creativity, and support local businesses and tourism. Through responsible spending, transparent leadership, and a spirit of care and connection, we work to make Ross a town people are proud to call home."

An "ambitions" section shows the ongoing or completed projects alongside those which have been started, are in progress, are not yet started or are awaiting investigation.

To ensure the strategic plan is followed, the relevant sub-committees will review progress made every 6-months and provide updates at the Annual Town Meeting.

Additionally, the strategy will be reviewed and approved yearly by the Full Council.

Ross-On-Wye Town Council is open to feedback about the strategy and welcomes resident's feedback.
